The first Jubilee was held in Apple Valley, Minnesota in October 2003 with more than 1,200 people touched and blessed by the event.  It began as a vision to get churches working together to build bridges to the needy in our community. Since that time, Jubilee has served thousands of people annually by providing resources from congregations and businesses hoping to offer some relief and encouragement to economically challenged families. Each year the number of participating churches and businesses is growing.

The overall “Why do we do this?” is simple: In response to what we have so freely received from Christ, we as the Church Body, desire to freely give (Matthew 10:8). Jubilee is a demonstration of God’s blessing and His love upon the Church and our lives. It's a demonstration of God's heart for people.

Each year hundreds of volunteers have embraced Jubilee by reallocating their talents, resources and time to serve and honor God. It is the hope and prayer of the organizers that more and more churches across our community will partner in Jubilee… and that churches across the country and even around the world will start their own Jubilee. There is so much that we can do together—so much more than we could ever accomplish on our own.
